Jennifer McCarthy will teach Wild Ones Members how to use the Flora App to better identify native plants.  Members and non-members are welcome to attend! Join us for social time at 11:30 and Jennifer will speak at 12:00.

Join experts from Bat Conservation International to explore how native plants, healthy insect populations, and thoughtful landscape design can help support bats. Learn about the ecological role of bats and discover practical ways to create habitat for North America's night flyers right in your own backyard.

Doug Tallamy will be speaking in person on the topic  “A Guide to Restoring the Little Things that Run the World”.  Vendors will be in the lobby beginning at 6:00 pm. The program begins at 7:00 pm. 

Zoe Evans, rewilding coach and VP of Partnerships & Programs at Wildr shares a practical, science-informed framework for evaluating a home landscape, identifying its greatest habitat opportunities, and choosing actions that support more plants, insects, birds, and other wildlife.

Master Gardener Sherri Hollingsworth will instruct Wild Ones Members and friends on how to sow winter seeds.  This workshop is open to members and non-members.  Social time begins at 11:30 am and the workshop begins at 12:00 pm

No yard required. Learn how native plants can turn patios, balconies, containers, and other small spaces into meaningful habitat for pollinators and other wildlife. This practical panel will cover plant selection, container design, seasonal care, and realistic ways to support biodiversity in limited spaces.

Lynchburg Garden Club and BEE City USA member Heidi James will present a slideshow presentation on an extensive list of native pollinators that could be in your garden! Members and non-members are welcome to attend.  Social time begins at 11:30 am with the presentation beginning at 12 pm.

Birds depend on healthy, connected habitats for food, shelter, nesting, and migration support. Join experts from the Cornell Lab of Ornithology to explore how native plants and thoughtful landscape choices can support birdlife at home. Learn how gardens, yards, and community spaces can provide the insects, seeds, berries, cover, and habitat structure birds need throughout the year.
